Weekly routines to follow to keep your living space clean
Our tips for maintaining a clean and tidy home
We all dream of a perfectly clean and tidy home, but between work, children, and the unexpected events of daily life, it's not always easy! However, with a few well-chosen weekly routines, it's possible to maintain a pleasant home without spending hours on it. We're sharing our simple and practical tips.

Why is this important?
A clean and tidy living space is not just a matter of appearance.
It's also a way to reduce mental strain, breathe better, and feel lighter. Conversely, a cluttered space can quickly become stifling and tiring.
Good news: there's no need to be obsessive or aim for perfection. The idea is to adopt small, regular habits that make daily maintenance easier.
Tidying up a little each day
The secret? Don't let it accumulate.
Dedicate 10 to 15 minutes each day to:
- Put away any objects that are lying around.
- Empty the dishwasher or the sink.
- Give the most frequently used surfaces a quick wipe (table, worktop).
Tip: Involve the whole family, even the children, to share the small tasks.
set a day for the main tasks
- Choose a time during the week to:
- Vacuum and/or mop.
- Change the sheets.
- Clean the bathroom.
No need to do everything in the same day! For example, bathroom on Wednesday, floors on Saturday morning, sheets on Sunday.
Sort and declutter regularly
Take 15 minutes each week to do a mini-sort:
Clothes to wash or donate. Administrative paper to be thrown away or filed. Toys or objects to be put back in their place.
You'll see, a little regular decluttering of big chores later.
Plan for a major monthly cleaning
In addition to weekly routines, block out a date each month to:
- Clean the windows.
- Defrost the freezer.
- Vacuum under the furniture.
Write it down in your diary so you don't forget it.
